Skatebroads Vancouver

The women's skateboarding scene is booming around the globe and Vancouver is no exception. Last month, Vancouver's Female Skate Movement "Chickflip" hosted a fundraiser to help push the progression of women's skateboarding. Part of the event consisted on the launch of "Skatebroads Vancouver", a photo gallery that celebrates females who embrace skate culture in the Metro Vancouver area, captured by Mexico-born photographer Norma Ibarra. As Ibarra says, "This gallery is a reminder that no matter your age or skill, we all share the love for that joy we get from being on our boards." Skatebroads Vancouver is a collection of more than 100 photographs of Vancouver's finest females on decks on display at Antisocial Skateshop Gallery until March 14th.
